Municipal and regional energy efficiency programs should be involved in сo-financing the Energy Efficiency Fund (EEF) programs. Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko informed on the results of a meeting of the Coordinating Council of Donors of the Energy Efficiency Fund and the Multi-Donor Trust Fund, specially established by the EU and the German government to support the energy efficiency reform in Ukraine.

"Apart from condominiums, the municipalities should be involved in programs of the Energy Efficiency Fund. We must give them a clear message and motivation to join and ensure the co-financing of energy efficiency programs. This issue will be considered at the next meeting of the Coordinating Council of Donors", said Hennadii Zubko.

The Vice Prime Minister told that with the support of partners from the EU/UNDP, 24 regional coordinators have been trained and are already working, engaged in helping with both the creation of new condominiums in all regions and the involvement of municipalities in the programs of the Energy Efficiency Fund.
