The heating season has triggered in Ukraine. By now, 60% social infrastructure (schools, kindergartens and hospitals) and 45% residential buildings have been connected to the heat carrier. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko.

The top official said that in Ukraine there are more than 15 thousand schools, 18 thousand kindergartens and about 2,712 hospitals that need centralized heating. In the residential sector there are 82 thousand buildings.

"Ukraine is 100% technically ready for the heating season. It has already been launched in the central and northern part of the country, and this primarily concerns social infrastructure. The country's south has been launched in 10-15% infrastructure objects, as the temperature regime in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odessa and Zaporizhzhia exceeds much that in Kyiv", explained Hennadii Zubko.

The official once again stressed that this year, in cases of untimely start of the heating season on the ground, local authorities will be sanctioned. "We have already warned that in case of the untimely start of heating process those quilty will be prosecuted. We will appeal to the prosecutor's office regarding cases of incompetency and inaction on the ground", urged Hennadii Zubko.
