Children affected by the war can now benefit from rehabilitation services


At a Government session on November 10, a resolution developed by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine was approved, which is aimed at protecting and rehabilitating children affected by the full-scale russian invasion.

The document stipulates that more than 7,000 children of servicemen of the State Border Service and the National Guard, police officers, rank-and-file and senior civil protection service personnel, internally displaced persons receiving assistance for internally displaced persons, veterans who have rendered special services to the Fatherland, and family members of deceased Defenders of Ukraine.

The children shall undergo rehabilitation in facilities located in the western regions of the country, offering safe and comfortable living conditions.

To receive the service, parents who are military personnel of the State Border Guard Service and the National Guard can submit certificate No. 5 to the health facilities of their choice. It must be generated through the State Web Portal of Electronic Public Services in the Field of National Security and Defense.

The Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities will pay 70% of the cost based on agreements between the facility and the parents, and 30% after receiving a report on the service provided.

The implementation of the resolution is intended to ensure the recovery of children who have suffered from russia's criminal actions.
