Denys Shmyhal: Cabinet of Ministers continues to support communities by rebuilding housing and investing in education
A number of communities continue to rebuild housing. This was emphasized by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on June 18.
He said that a decision had been made to allocate UAH 41.5 million from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression to rebuild an apartment building in Uman.
“The implementation of the project will return homes to more than 200 residents in the community,” the Prime Minister said.
Denys Shmyhal also emphasized that the state continued to support Ukrainians whose homes had been either damaged or destroyed by shelling.
"The eVidnovlennia program is working, and families whose homes have been damaged can receive up to UAH 350,000 to repair an apartment and up to UAH 500,000 to repair a phivate house. As of today, almost 100,000 Ukrainian families have received UAH 9.3 billion in compensation for damaged housing," the Head of Government told.
In addition, according to him, more than 19,000 housing certificates have been generated, which Ukrainians use to buy new homes. Also, a new type of compensation is being paid for rebuilding on the private land plots. Under this mechanism, nearly 500 citizens have already received about UAH 607 million.
At the same time, during the meeting almost UAH 119 million of subventions were distributed to equip schools with modern classrooms and STEM laboratories.
"These funds will be allocated to 28 communities. In this way, we are modernizing the educational space to meet the needs of the times," emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
