Denys Shmyhal: EW systems delivery begins via DOT-Chain Defence in “Army of Drones Bonus” programme
The Ministry of Defence’s Defence Procurement Agency has signed initial contracts with domestic manufacturers to supply electronic warfare (EW) systems under the “Army of Drones Bonus” programme.
Military units can order these systems through Brave1 Market, with procurement facilitated via DOT-Chain Defence.
“Access to EW systems in the programme not only expands the range of available equipment but also introduces a new level of flexibility for the military. They can independently assess their unit’s needs, order required equipment via Brave1 Market through DELTA authorisation, and receive it directly through the Ministry’s DOT-Chain Defence digital system. This reduces the time from request to frontline delivery and enhances the efficiency of state funds,” said Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Under the “Army of Drones Bonus” programme, units have received equipment worth UAH 500 million, with orders totalling UAH 2 billion.
“The Defence Procurement Agency continues to expand the range of equipment available in the ‘Army of Drones Bonus’ programme. EW systems protect our troops on the frontline. It’s vital that the military can independently select and quickly receive what they need. Digitalisation through DOT-Chain Defence and Brave1 Market ensures our defenders get essential equipment swiftly and directly,” said Defence Procurement Agency Director Arsen Zhumadilov.
The Agency is currently working to engage new EW system manufacturers and suppliers.
Background
The new model of the “Army of Drones Bonus” programme, launched in August, integrates the DELTA, DOT-Chain Defence, and Brave1 Market IT systems. It operates as follows:
- Military personnel earn points for destroying or damaging enemy targets, which they can exchange for drones and equipment needed for combat tasks via Brave1 Market, authorised through DELTA.
- Procurement is managed by the Defence Procurement Agency through the DOT-Chain Defence digital system, which facilitates contracts with manufacturers and coordinates direct delivery to units.
