The Government has reduced the gas price for people using the services of the Supplier of Last Resort (SoLR) to UAH 7.96 per cubic meter. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on November 5 during the Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.

The Head of Government stressed that the price of UAH 7.96 per cubic meter for those left without a gas supplier will be valid during October and November 2021. During this time, citizens must choose a permanent supplier so that the price of natural gas remains unchanged for them in the coming months.

"Today NJSC" Naftogaz of Ukraine "performs the functions of SoLR. The government and Naftogaz have decided that the price for PON customers in October and November will be UAH 7.96 per cubic meter. This is twice lower than it was. Now 600,000 Ukrainians, who are customers of SoLR, have time to come calmly and without queues and choose a permanent supplier so that the price for them remains unchanged throughout the heating season, "the Prime Minister stressed.

Denys Shmyhal added that due to annual contracts, the price of gas for Ukrainians will remain unchanged throughout the heating season.
