NJSC Naftogaz and local authorities continue to conclude agreements for the purchase of natural gas in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding on the settlement of problematic issues in the field of heating and hot water supply during the heating period of 2021/2022. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.

"All agreements with Naftogaz are concluded as enshrined in the Memorandum with local governments. At present, more than half of the 8,000 verified budget institutions have passed the relevant procedures in the Prozorro procurement system and concluded contracts. In addition, gas and heat are supplied continuously. The Government has made relevant decisions on the impossibility of stopping the supply of gas for thermal power plants, for budget and municipal organizations that have their own boilers, " the Head of Government said.

Denys Shmyhal recalled that the timely provision of communities with heating is the responsibility of local authorities.
