Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha comments on his meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayan: "I had a meaningful and detailed meeting with my Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on the sidelines of the official Cyprus’s EU Presidency launch. 

I congratulated Bahrain on its election to the UN Security Council for 2026-2027.  

I reaffirmed readiness for close cooperation, including in the context of Bahrain’s presidency in GCC and thanked Bahrain for its consistent support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. I also invited my colleague to visit Ukraine.  

The path to a lasting peace for Ukraine was the key focus of our talks today. I stressed once again that Russia must be forced to end its aggression and Ukraine relies on international support in this regard.  

I informed about recent peace efforts and the outcomes of the Paris’ meeting of the Coalition of the Willing. 

We discussed our bilateral agenda and cooperation. I encouraged my counterpart to consider Bahraini investments into Ukraine and participation in Ukraine’s recovery as an investment in the future EU member."
