The Ministry for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine (MTOT) hosted a meeting of Deputy Minister Georgii Tuka with representatives of the HelpAge International in Ukraine.
In the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the MTOT and the Representative Office of the HelpAge International in Ukraine, dated December 29, 2017, Deputy Minister Georgii Tuka held a meeting during which the parties discussed the issues of further cooperation and coordination of activities in the east of Ukraine to
promote the right of older people and people with disabilities residing in the east of Ukraine.

Head of the HelpAge International Representative Office in Ukraine Mr. Ian James Clarke told about the experience of the organization of work with the elderly people all around the world, about the need to support them, since such people are rather active and possess significant life experience and their own life’s philosophy.

"Our priority is to support the elderly. First of all, those are people in the east, and then - people from other regions. We look forward to regular meetings for a dialogue. Our Office has a great deal of experience working with older people and we want our initiative to be supported not only by MTOT but by other organizations, hence, we are asking for your help in nurturing such cooperation," said Mr. Ian James Clark.
