The Agreement with
the International Organization for Migration (IOM) encapsulates an opportunity for the creation of common mechanisms of the protection
of vulnerable groups of the
population. This was emphasized by Deputy Minister
of Social Policy of Ukraine
Natalia Fedorovych during the signing
of the Agreement
on Cooperation between the Ministry
of Social Policy of Ukraine
and the International
Organization for Migration.
The collaboration is
being conducted in the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of
Social Policy of Ukraine and the International Organization for Migration signed on 15 September, 2011, which envisages, in particular, the development of common programs
and projects aimed at increasing
social, economic and cultural benefits
of migration and minimizing its negative effects.
"The signing
of the Agreement
will become a powerful impetus for more fruitful
cooperation, and will step up
our work in the future.
Together, we are shaping mechanisms
called to protect the rights
of vulnerable groups of the
population, such as ATO veterans, internally displaced persons and human
trafficking victims. We expect IOM’s
assistance will help to highlight the said issues
in the global
arena," the Deputy Minister underscored.
