14th meeting of the Ukrainian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation was held on October 9-10, 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The Ukrainian delegation was headed by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maxym Nefyodov and the Vietnamese delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hoang Quoc Vuong.

At the meeting the parties discussed the ways and mechanisms to boost bilateral cooperation in different areas.

It was agreed that both Ukraine and Vietnam need to be more active in using their intergovernmental mechanisms of cooperation development and in promoting direct business contacts.

They stressed the need to step up the delegation exchanges and information sharing, and to encourage enterprises to expand export proposals and participate in investment projects in each country.

On October 11, 2017 in Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry the Ukraine-Vietnam Business Forum was held and the representatives of more than 60 Vietnamese and 150 Ukrainian companies attended the event.
