framework of the annual meetings
of the IMF and the World
Bank in Washington,
Oleksandr Danyliuk, Minister of Finance
of Ukraine together with his
deputy Yuriy Butsa and Maxym
Nefyodov, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development
and Trade of Ukrainemet with
Cyril Muller, World Bank Vice
President for Europe and Central
Asia.
In the course
of the meeting
the interlocutors tackled the state
of implementation of far-reaching reforms and cooperation
between Ukraine and the World
Bank, and also expressed confidence that the World Bank
will remain a reliable partner of Ukraine on
the path to sustainable development.
The Minister of
Finance underlined the importance of the World
Bank's participation in the reform
process aimed at modernizing and restructuring the Ukrainian economy.
In his turn,
Cyril Muller emphasized the importance of reforms
undertaken by Ukraine and the
need for implementation of land reform for
further economic development.
Ukraine and the
World Bank are engaged in
dozens of projects. Each of the said
projects contributes to the exchange
of experience, the creation of
new jobs and the strengthening
of the financial
system of the country.
