Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for European Integration Mr Ihor Dolhov took part in the 20th South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial Meeting held in Rome.
In his speech, Mr Dolhov reaffirmed the readiness of the Ukrainian party to settle the situation in the east of Ukraine as soon as possible and restore the territorial integrity of the state.
He paid attention to reinforcement of Russia’s military presence in temporarily occupied Crimea resulting in the transformation of the region in a militarized zone, challenging the stability in the Mediterranean and Black Seas regions and regional and global security.
Deputy Minister of Defence thanked the ministers of defence of the South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial Meeting for support at bilateral and international levels, as well as for humanitarian aid, including in treatment of WIA soldiers.
In the framework of this visit, Mr Dolhov also held bilateral talks with heads of defence ministries of Italy, Romania, Georgia, Moldova, and Serbia.
