Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman opened the Cabinet of Ministers’ sitting. Among the essential
topics are the preparation for the upcoming heating season, the situation in
the gas industry, further decentralization and the defining of priorities for the
regional authorities.
“This year, a record UAH 9 billion has been allocated to gear up for the heating season. We transferred the funds to the regions. I demand heating, electricity be provided to homes, and people walk clean pavements”, said the Head of Government. “I want to accentuate that it is perhaps for the first time in our current history that performance of the preparation activities is quite high."
The Head of Government
once again thanked MPs of Ukraine for the effective start of the new session
and adoption of one of the main bills this fall, namely the new redaction of
the law on education. The document will allow the introduction of new education
standards and the enhancement of the social protection of teachers.
"The Parliament has passed the first law of the ‘change’ package. We’ve joined our endeavors and passed the law opening up an opportunity for the children to have education of new quality. We will systematically raise respect for the teacher. Let’s keep working. Among the changes to launch are the system of health care, retirement provision. We need solutions to transform the country", urged Volodymyr Groysman.
