  • Ukraine and Vietnam are interested in developing the interregional cooperation to boost bilateral trade, cultural and people-to-people exchanges

    During the official visit to Vietnam on September 4-6, 2017, Pavlo Klimkin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine held the meeting with Tong Quang Thin, Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Ninh Binh Province.

    The parties discussed the development of cooperation in the spheres of tourism, cultural exchange and people-to-people contacts between Ukraine and Vietnam and stressed on the need to work out the practical mechanisms to promote Vietnam as a tourist destination for Ukrainian citizens and spread the information about business opportunities in both countries.

    The Minister informed his counterpart that development of bilateral cooperation with Vietnam is one of Ukraine’s foreign policy priorities in the South-East Asia.

    The parties agreed that the establishment of interregional ties between the Ninh Binh Province and one of the regions of Ukraine would result in significant growth of educational and cultural exchanges. In Ukrainian Universities students from Ninh Binh Province will acquire world class education that will be beneficial for the development of the region.

    The Minister invited Mr. Tong Quang Thin and the Province leadership to visit Ukraine to establish strong and mutually beneficial ties with one of regions of our country.
