The process of voluntary association of communities is underway in Ukraine. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decision that encapsulates an opportunity for those communities that were elected in the spring of 2017 to correct the long-term plan, thus to approve direct intergovernmental relations and calculations with the state budget, stressed Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko, while commenting on the adoption of the perspective plan for the formation of communities in the Chernihiv region.

Hennadii Zubko stressed that today 250 communities are waiting for the decision of the Central Election Commission (СEC) on the announcement of local elections this fall. «If there will be a positive decision of the CEC, by the end of year 665 communities are to appear», underscored the Vice Prime Minister.
