The development of a model of turnover of lands is a pressing issue which requires the detailed discussion as well as the involvement of a wide range of the public. The key goal of the said reform is revival of rural development and farming, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on air of the 5 TV channel.

«No one has the right to deliever an ultimatum in the process of pursuing of the said reform, there should be dialogue, understanding, and today I am conducting such a dialogue, first of all, with the farmers», the Prime Minister asserted.

Volodymyr Groysman emphasized that he has a tough stance toward transferring land resources to foreigners and large agricultural holdings.

«I propose to revive Ukrainian farming», claimed the Prime Minister and recalled the Government’s decision on shaping an effective agricultural support program and once again voiced an initiative to the Parliament on allocation of the sum worth not less than UAH 1 billion for these purposes.

"I want the farmer to have the opportunity to grow grain, to refine the grain into flour, hence to make bread and to sell it. This is my ultimate goal. I am keen on including the sum worth not less than UAH 1 billion in the draft state budget for 2018 for these purposes. The next step is to ensure farmers' access to low-cost loans, further to enable farm workers to hold land own land, thereby the sale should be available only to individuals with Ukrainian citizenship and in the amount not exceeding 200 hectares», underscored the Prime Minister.
