The Reform Support Office will begin its work shortly within the
Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, asserted Minister of
Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ostap Semerak
He stressed the Office is being set up with the support of the European
Union (EU) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD),
which noted positively the progress of the initiated reforms in the
environmental sphere.
«Professionals with strong planning and analytical skills are welcomed
to engage in the work of the said Office. The involvement of skilled workers
will strengthen the work of the Ministry, will assist in pursuing environmental
protection reforms, and most importantly - will ensure introducing of
independent analysis and monitoring of the implementation of local reforms and
report on their implementation», noted Ostap Semerak. According to him, the reform support team will
also take into account and adapt the ideas and proposals of the public,
international partners, and government officials in order to achieve maximum
results.
The European Union and the European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development have already backed the establishment of the Reform Support Office.
It is worth noting that, the competitive selection will be held during
July / August 2017 with the participation of the EU and the EBRD and the
practical work of the Reform Support Office will be kicked off in September
2017.
