The Cabinet
of Ministers is looking forward to fruitful work with the Verkhovna
Rada of Ukraine in the last plenary week of the
session, as there are a number of important issues on the agenda, including the
adoption of a pension reform that will enable the Government to raise pension for
9 million retirees from October 1. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said at the Government
meeting on Tuesday.
"We
are now on the threshold of the last plenary week of this session, and we rely
greatly that the issue of the pension reform will be considered by the
Parliament and supported by it. That is the task that we jointly – the Parliament,
the President, the Government - must fulfill", stressed the PM.
He told
that the package of laws on priority reforms had been drafted by professionals –
by the Government team in cooperation with experts, international partners. The
document shall have a positive effect on the development of the state, while
the Government, for its part, is committed to bear full responsibility for
implementing the changes.
