Government has drafted new law on privatization, we are talking about new procedure of selling state property, says Volodymyr Groysman
The Cabinet
of Ministers of Ukraine, jointly with international partners and experts, has
drafted a bill on new conditions for the sale of state assets, those being not of
strategic importance and currently inefficiently used, and plans to submit it
for consideration by the National Reforms Council under the President of
Ukraine, and aftermath to the Parliament. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced at a
Government meeting on Tuesday.
"Today
we will consider a draft law on privatization, that we will direct to the
Council of Reforms for consideration by the President, and then to the
Parliament. This law provides transparent and competitive rules for the sale of
property that is used inefficiently", said Volodymyr
Groysman.
He added
that it is not just about encouraging new owners to enterprises. "This
will enable the country to openly leverage investment, which means work,
salary, taxes and reinvestment in people's lives", the Head of Government underscored.
