The IMF and the World Bank have expressed their support for the government bill on pension reform, which was elaborated by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine on commission of Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

A final point in the negotiations was direct participation of the Prime Minister of Ukraine in the meeting with the IMF Mission Chief for Ukraine Ron van Rooden. The talks resulted in the adoption of a balanced, comprehensive document, based on best international practices and providing answers to those challenges and problems that are urgent for the Ukrainian State and the society.

The Ministry of Social Policy also expresses its gratitude to the professionals from the IMF and the World Bank for their assistance in the work on the above mentioned bill.

We consider it appropriate to publish original letters of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

As was previously reported, on May 31, during a meeting of the Government, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Andrii Reva announced the bill on the pension reform had been backed by the World Bank citing relevant letter addressed to the Ministry.
