First turn of "OKHMATDYT" facilities will start operation in November or December, assures Volodymyr Groysman
A new wing of the
National Children's Specialized Hospital “OKHMATDYT” which sees the final stage
of construction and installment of equipment is scheduled to put in operation
in November or December this year, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
announced.
He checked the
progress of construction that had been restored in autumn of 2016 after a three-year’s
break.
"Today we can say that the construction sees its final stage. In November or December, the first wing will be operational. Now the main task is to hold transparent tenders for the purchase of equipment to modernize the clinic", said Volodymyr Groysman.
He stressed that it
concerns putting in operation of a part of the hospital - a large medical
complex with area of more than 26,000 square meters equipped with MRI scanners
and other equipment allowing the doctors to undertake complex procedures for
Ukrainian children of various ages. The total amount of funds that can be spent
by the end of this year for purchases, as well as installation and construction
activities is about UAH 1 billion.
“We will have a nice
cutting edge clinic, which will provide highly qualified services”, said the
Prime Minister. “Here we demonstrate a rational approach to budget spending. We
will prolong construction activities to complete the work in 2019".
It should be
noted, the entire complex of the updated "OKHMATDYT" will be more
than 67 square meters including several wings with 10 modern surgery
departments, 5 oncological and hematological
departments and a diagnostic department.
