PM pledges increase in payments be regular and automatic in the framework of the Government's pension reform
Offered by the Government of Ukraine draft pension reform provides for the modernization
of pension payments from October 1 of the current year, and the transfer of
this process in automatic mode in the following years, assured Prime Minister
of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman while communicating with the staff of railroad haul Komysh-Zorya - Volnovakha in Donetsk
region, having been reconstructed on commission of the Prime Minister.
Commenting on the
pension reform, Volodymyr Groysman stressed that year upgraded pension benefit
would be paid to 9 million retirees, and it wouldn’t be paid as a lump sum.
"After having raised twofold the minimum wage the
Government has embarked on the comprehensive pension reform. With the support
of the Ukrainian Parliament we will enact the pension reform, and from October
1, we will improve pensions for 9 million pensioners. Here the most important
thing is that now none can stop the process of improvement of pensions. We have
included a norm of automatic recalculation of pensions", said the Prime
Minister.
Alongside this, he pledged that the process of improvement of the minimum wage would prolong.
