The implementation of the Medium-Term Action Plan offered by the
Government as well as of measures regarding the pension reform will allow to abolish the taxation of pensions for working people this
year. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a
press conference "Results of Government’s Yearly Activities".
"Our reform envisages that starting 1 October we will offer to
cancel the taxation of pensions for working citizens. The only thing we need –
support of the Parliament," accentuated the Head of Government.
Earlier, Volodymyr Groysman noted that the pension reform doesn't
envisage a raise of the retirement age, but is aimed to reduce the deficit of
the Pension Fund of Ukraine and to increase retirement payments which will be
triggered for 9 million retirees already in October. To obtain resources needed
for this reform, according to the Head of the Government, is tangible due to
the developed measures by the Government.
