Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman counts on prompt adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the draft laws designed to trigger a large-scale privatization as well as considers it possible to ensure an effective sale of the Odessa Portside Plant with a new leadership of State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU). This was announced by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman during a press conference "Results of Government’s Yearly Activities".

“I want this legislative package to be adopted already at this plenary session thus we will be able to launch a large-scale privatization of inefficient state-owned enterprises”, noted the Prime Minister.

He also commented on the resignation of the Chairman of the State Property Fund Ihor Bilous.

“I welcome the decision of Ihor Bilous”, noted the Prime Minister, having underlined that his work in the position of the Chairman of SPFU was insufficient. And the greatest discontent was caused by two failures regarding the sale of one of the key assets - the Odessa Portside Plant.

Along with that, while commenting the possibility regarding the sale of the aforesaid plant, Volodymyr Groysman added:” SPFU is obliged to prepare the Odessa Portside Plant for sale. We approve only the terms of sale. I believe that we can conduct an effective sale. The new leadership of the State Property Fund will have to tackle this issue”, stressed the Head of Government.
