Situation Update, east of Ukraine as of morning, March 31, 2017
According
to the press centre of the ‘anti-terror’ operation (ATO) HQ, the
enemy has violated the ceasefire for 69 times over the past 24 hours.
Two
Ukrainian soldiers were killed, nine soldiers were wounded and four were
injured.
The enemy
used 122 mm artillery, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, BMP, grenade
launchers and heavy machineguns near Luhanske,
120 mm and 82 mm mortars near Troitske and Kamianka, tank near Avdiivka, BMP
near Opytne, grenade launchers near Zaitseve, and heavy machineguns near Nevelske.
Militants
shelled ATO positions near Marinka, Krasnohorivka, and Pavlopil with
82 mm mortars, near Marinka and Shyrokyne with BMP, near Vodyane,
Pavlopil, Marinka, and Krasnohorivka with grenade launchers, and heavy
machineguns. Enemy’s snipers targeted the gov’t
positions near Novotoritske.
The enemy
fired 120 mm mortars on Troitske,
82 mm mortars on Novooleksandrivka, grenade
launchers on Stanytsya Luhanska,
Troitske, Valuiske, Popasna and Novozvanivka, heavy
machineguns on Valuiske.
Ukrainian
military suppressed the enemy by returning fire.
