
We have a plan to reduce energy consumption by the state and Ukrainian households, says Vice Prime Minister
Ukrainian people have a clear blueprint of how to drastically reduce energy consumption of the country and households and align them with the performance of the civilized world. After all, in nowadays context energy efficiency is a criterion of economic success and an indicator of maturity of social development. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko stated in the article "A heat reform: Ukraine’s maturity test" for the Mirror of the Week newspaper.
This plan contains
three strategic objectives, in particular, determining of a responsible owner, creating
of tools necessary to make the way to energy efficiency and modernization of a service
provider, emphasized Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Building,
Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko.
The Vice
Prime Minister emphasized that implementation of the aforesaid tasks covers all
levels of the Ukrainian society. According to him, at the level of Ukrainian
families it means willingness and readiness to move towards achieving energy efficiency.
At the level of local authorities – it includes upgrading of municipal
enterprises, the introduction of local programs on energy efficiency, thermal
modernization of the social infrastructure. At the state level — the adoption
of a legislative framework for the practical implementation of reform, creation
of effective mechanisms of technical and financial assistance to the
responsible owner and attracting necessary investments, highlighted Hennadii Zubko.
