During his visit to Geneva for the participation at the High-Level Segment of the 34th session of the UN Human Rights Council Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with Federal Councillor, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Didier Burkhalter.
The Swiss side was informed about the ongoing difficult situation in Donbas and the progress of reforms in our state. The Ukrainian side expressed its gratitude for the technical and humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine. Ministers also touched upon actual issues of interaction in the framework of the OSCE.
While discussing bilateral cooperation the necessity of signing the agreements on visa facilitation and readmission was emphasized. The Swiss side also confirmed its readiness to implement the visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens after the appropriate decision by the EU.
The Ministers underlined the mutual interest in further successful development of bilateral trade-economic and investment cooperation.
