The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Government’s draft law on amalgamation of consolidated communities that will enable the creation of self-sufficient territorial units in Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said during a high-level Conference "Cheering and Steering: Ukraine Reforms Reloaded" in Brussels.

"Now the Ukrainian Parliament has adopted the Government’s bill, which is titled On Amalgamation of Consolidated Communities. This means that we are moving towards creating self-sufficient territorial units that can provide professional and efficient services ", stressed the Head of Government. He commented on the endorsement by the Verkhovna Rada in the second reading and in general bill No. 4772 on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine (regarding the voluntary amalgamation of territorial communities) on Thursday.

The Prime Minister believes that by the year’s end these decisions will lead to concrete results.
