Since 1 August within the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine there has begun its work a Reform Support Office. The Office was established with the support of international donors and the EU representatives.
The objectives of the Office include coordinating of elaboration and improving of efficiency of pieces of legislation; support for the implementation of reforms in the agricultural sector guided by the best international practices; a gradual approximation to the EU legislation.
The Reform Support Office became a platform for the dialogue with the public, business representatives, state authorities, donors and international organizations aimed at discussing the progress of reforms in the agricultural sector.
"The involvement of representatives of Ukrainian and foreign enterprises, experts and donors to jointly improve the industry is the main purpose of the established technical Office. We must engage in open dialogue. Propositions of foreign experts, donors and representatives of international organizations are of great importance in the development of an effective vector of upgrading of the agrarian sector", said Taras Kutovyi.
