On October 25, the European Affairs Committee of the Lower House of the Dutch Parliament hosted a public discussion with Linas Antanas Linkevičius, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (European integration issues) Olena Zerkal, MP Members of the Committee.
In the center of the discussion was the question of a way of ratification by the Netherlands of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, which would be acceptable to Ukraine, the EU and the Netherlands.
Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olena Zerkal once again stressed the importance of the Association Agreement in the context of development of Ukraine as a rule-of-law democratic European state. "This is our chance to continue the path of the difficult but necessary reforms", said Olena Zerkal.
During the event, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine answered numerous questions from Members of the Dutch Parliament concerning Ukraine-EU cooperation as well as bilateral relations.
