  • Pavlo Rozenko: Gearing up for the 75th anniversary of the Babi Yar tragedy takes place according to the schedule

    Today, August 3, Vice-Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko held a field meeting on the preparation of commemorative events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the massacre at Babyn Yar.

    Pavlo Rozenko, together with Minister of Culture Yevhen Nyshchuk, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Rostyslav Pavlenko and other participants visited the territory of the National Historical Memorial Preserve the Babyn Yar, in which the activities to refurbish alleys in the park are underway.

    "The tragedy that took place at Babyn Yar, concerns not just Ukraine alone. It is a tragedy that has global significance. We do everything to ensure proper level of commemorative events to honor the memory of victims of Babyn Yar. For us it is a matter of honor", said Pavlo Rozenko in his comment to journalists.

    According to him, works on the landscaping are conducted following the plan. The Vice Prime Minister noted that the activities would be prolonged for at least a year.
