In early July of 2014, during the fightings,
the TV tower on Karachun was destroyed, which
deprived of the Ukrainian broadcasting a large area of north in Donetsk region.
A number of activities of the Ministry of information policy of Ukraine
significantly influenced the situation (50 transmitters were installed in ATO
zone), but fully the problem can be solved only through the installation of the
new tower.
MIP has initiated this renewal, but technical problems and time of
tendering procedures delayed the process, which is under the guidance of the
BRT Concern.
MIP monitoring mission, which includes deputies of Ukraine: Oleksandr Brygynets and Dmytro Andrievskyi visited the Karachun and assured that the preparatory works have been
completed; new equipment is tested, new tower fragments are collected at a
designated site.
Advisor to the Minister of information policy of Ukraine in ATO zone, MP
of Ukraine Oleksandr Brygynets
said that the process is almost completed: the first constructions of a new 180
meter TV tower have been already delivered to the Karachun.
In general, according to Advisor, there are several dozen of six-meter
structures, so now there is no need to bring all of them at the same time. They
will be delivered as moves forward.
"On 17 May, the experts will visit the Karachun;
they will define the schedule and, I hope, will determine a preliminary date of
it accomplishment," said Oleksandr Brygynets.
