On Sunday and
Monday, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman took part in the events on occasion of the Day of
Remembrance and Reconciliation and Victory Day over Nazism in World War II.
On Victory Day
over Nazism, May 9, Volodymyr Groysman
laid flowers to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Park of Eternal Glory
and participated in a prayer of military chaplains - participants of ATO for peace and
victory at Volodymyr’s Hill. The ceremony was also attended by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii, Kyiv CSA Head Vitalii Klytschko, members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine
and the President’s Administration, Ukrainian MPs, representatives of NGOs and religious confessions, as well as veterans of World War II and
participants of ATO.
The day before, the
evening of May 8, the Prime Minister took part in the First Minute for Peace
event at the Museum of History of Ukraine in World War II.
Following
the events, Volodymyr Groysman had a
conversation with the veterans of World War II and participants of ATO, as well
as with people who came to honor memory of the fallen heroes.
