In Ukraine there has been created a registry representing an online compilation of cartographic materials and monitoring of administrative-territorial units. The project was developed jointly by the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine and the State Service of Geodesy, Carography and Cadastre of Ukraine with the support of DESPRO (Swiss-Ukrainian Decentralization Support Project).

The information resource which is available in two languages – Ukrainian and English, provides an access to information about administrative units, topography, towns, motor roads and railroads.

Besides, Geoportal contains updated legislative data on changes of administrative-territorial system, perspective plans for the formation of territorial communities, the budget passports of communities, data on united territorial communities, the numbers of schools and other social facilities, budget, grants or subventions.

The Geoportal envisages for updating and monitoring of changes in administrative-territorial system of Ukraine and is now in beta-testing. (http://atu_reform.gki.com.ua/)
