
Hennadii Zubko: Ministry of Regional Development monitors situation with overcoming consequences of adverse weather conditions every four hours
The Ministry of Regional
Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine collects data every
four hours from the regions regarding supply of electricity, heat, water, activity
of public services and emergency brigades. This was stated by Vice Prime
Minister of Ukraine/Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and
Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko
at a meeting of the Interdepartmental
operative headquarters
of the State Commission
for technogenic
and ecological safety
and emergency situations.
A teleconference was held with the participation of representatives of the Odessa, Mykolayiv, Kyrovohrad, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kharkiv, Sumy and Kherson regional state administrations.
"Presently, 99.9% of boilers operate and there is ensured flawless heating of residential houses, social facilities – hospitals, kindergartens and schools", explained Hennadii Zubko.
According to the official, as of 18 January to liquidate consequences of adverse weather conditions there were engaged in clearing snow 25.4 thousand people, 3842 units of municipal vehicles, 1941 units of additional equipment and used 175 thousand tons of spreading material.
The Vice Prime Minister noted that the leaders of regions must maintain normal operation of equipment to clear roads and to control the work of public utilities employees in urban areas how they clear streets.
Hennadii Zubko also commissioned the Ministry of Healthcare to supervise distribution of medical preparations according to the epidemiological map and deliver them, in the first place, to the regions with high level of influenza activity.
