In the near future the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities plans to consolidate and submit for consideration a number of draft laws and legal acts promoting the reform of decentralization in education, health, social protection sectors, administrative services, simplification for small and medium businesses. Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko announced.
"On commission of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Regional
Development held a working meeting with members of other ministries, central
authorities, research institutes and the public. On the outcomes of the
discussion, our colleagues will send to the Ministry of Regional Development their
proposals, which we are to consolidate to harmonize with a single vision of
reform", - said Hennadii Zubko.
According to the official, without changes to the
Constitution it is impossible to complete the reform process, but an example of
fiscal decentralization proves that these processes can be parallel. According
to the Minister, the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and
Utilities will collect the proposals from other ministries and departments
during the week. "Our goal is to expedite this work, as there are certain agencies
that, frankly speaking, linger with implementation of the decentralization
reform", said Hennadii Zubko.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine supervises the process of implementation of the decentralization reform in the country.
Last week the Ministry of Regional Development together with
the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre announced
the launch of the transformation the land management system and opening a recruitment
competition to fill senior positions in the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy,
Cartography and Cadastre.
