"Your willpower and strength of mind set the pattern
for the whole country", Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk underlined
at a joint meeting of Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko and the Prime
Minister with champions and winners of the First European Games 2015 on
Tuesday, 30 June.
He thanked the Ukrainian athletes and stressed that their

"Thanks to your personal efforts, your work on
yourselves, sometimes even fight with yourselves - you have become winners.
Your willpower and strength of mind set the pattern for the whole country,"
he said.
He called on to support those who didn’t win medals at the
European Games: "I am convinced that the next games will bring us more
medals, we will be even better and stronger - thanks to your struggle, your
desire to become the best."
Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that the Government adopted a decree on the establishment of 75 scholarships to coaches. He also informed that the President would sign decrees on appointing 105 scholarships for Olympic athletes. Separate scholarships are provided for Paralympic athletes.
The Prime Minister also stressed the need of the preparation to the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro: "We must fully fund the preparation to the Olympic Games. And I can assure you that everything within the schedule: from appliances, sports equipment, and finally funding of meetings - everything will be financed by the Government."
"Your will and your spirit are priceless assets. Our task is to help provide trainings, while your task is to ensure the Ukrainian flag and Ukrainian anthem at the world games in the world capitals, and make entire Ukraine applaud you," the Prime Minister addressed the athletes.
