Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with the U.K. Secretary of
State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond, who is staying in
Kiev with a working visit.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized
that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appreciates the efforts of the UK and
the Government of the United Kingdom in supporting Ukraine and its struggle for
freedom and independence.
"We are
convinced that Great Britain is one of our strongest allies in the
de-escalation of the situation and building of Ukraine as a successful
state," he stressed.
Moreover, Arseniy
Yatsenyuk accentuated, the Government of Ukraine evaluates the decision of the
British Government to send military experts to Ukraine, "to make the
Ukrainian army much stronger", “We expect additional assistance - not for offensive,
but for defensive operations".
"We are talking not just
about our security, we are talking about the security of
entire Europe. It is a challenge for all of us, and I believe we will make a joint,
brave and strong response," said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
