H. Zubko believes energy efficiency should be among the key issues at the international conference to support reform in Ukraine

The energy sector is one of the priorities of Ukrainian-Swedish trade and economic cooperation in the long term. This has been discussed at the meeting of the Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Mr. Andreas von Beckerath.

According to Hennadii Zubko, Ukraine is interested in close cooperation with Sweden in energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and energy diversification. He also informed that the issue of energy efficiency should be among the key at the international conference to support reform in Ukraine, which is scheduled for April.

Mr. Andreas von Beckerath has assured the readiness of Sweden to contribute to the implementation of energy efficiency and energy-saving in Ukraine, noting that the potential of our country in this area is significant. He noted that today more than 10 such projects together with Ukrainian municipalities are being introduced.

The parties discussed the possibility of legislative regulation of the return of funds invested in energy efficiency projects and allocating of savings from such projects to further development of the sector.
