Hennadii Zubko and Chimyao Fan discuss the projects of the World Bank and the Ministry of Regional Development in the field of modernization of housing and communal services
The
implementation of joint projects of the World Bank and the Ministry of Regional
Development Ukraine has been discussed at the meeting of Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadii Zubko with World Bank Director
for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Chimyao Fan.
In
particular, the
parties confirmed
the approaching completion of the Urban Infrastructure Project in Ukraine (implemented in 14 cities).
"The project is at the final stage, and now we can see a significant effect from their implementation. Over 6 years of the project’s
implementation, the average energy savings for companies participating in the project is about 30 percent," Hennadii Zubko said.
He
stressed that the
modernization of housing and communal
services is one of the priorities as it concerns the interests of both the population and the whole economy of Ukraine.
The
sides also discussed the implementation of two joint projects of the World Bank and the Ministry of Regional
Development - the Second Urban Infrastructure
Project worth US350 million and the District Heating Energy Efficiency Project worth US382 million.
