PM considered situation in Ukraine's East with heads of diplomatic missions of G7 states and members of the UN Security Council

On Saturday, January 24, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with heads of diplomatic missions of G7 states and members of the UN Security Council to tackle the situation in Ukraine’s East and a terrorist attack in Mariupol.

The meeting was also attended by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Olexandr Turchynov, Minister of Interior Arsen Avakov, Defence Minister Stepan Poltorak.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk named the crime committed against the civilians of Ukraine and offensive actions of the Russian terrorists a vicious crime against humanity and a grave violation of fundamental principles of the international law.

Ukraine appeals to the international community to exert maximum efforts to stop the aggressor, including actions to be made by the United Nations Security Council, the European Union and the OSCE.

The foreign diplomats were informed about the impressive consequences of the tragedy in Mariupol. They were provided with evidence of the concerted efforts taken by the Russian terrorists against civilians, peace and security in the region.
