Defence Minister of Ukraine held a telephone conversation with his Lithuanian counterpart

On November 7, Defence Minister of Ukraine, Colonel-General Stepan Poltorak had a phone conversation with Minister of National Defence of Lithuania Juozas Olekas.

During the meeting, Colonel-General Stepan Poltorak informed his Lithuanian counterpart on the current situation in Ukraine, as well as the course of the antiterrorist operation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The parties also discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries, including the creation of a joint unit, providing medical care for Ukrainian servicemen who have been injured during the ATO, holding of joint educational programs, language training for military personnel, etc.

Minister of National Defence of Lithuania Juozas Olekas expressed his support and assured the readiness of the Republic of Lithuania to fully support Ukraine in this extremely difficult time.
