Government allocates more than UAH 50 million to restore water supply in Donetsk region and UAH 10.5 million to restore housing in Sloviansk

The Cabinet of Ministers has supported the proposal of the Ministry of Regional Development regarding the redistribution of a part of the reserve fund of the state budget in favor of restoring damaged during the fighting infrastructure in some areas of Donetsk region.

Moreover, the Government has directed a subvention from the state budget to local budgets for the socio-economic development of certain areas, as provided in 2014 in Donetsk region, namely the restoration of water supply system and sewage damaged during the anti-terrorist operation. It is about UAH 50.3 million, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Volodymyr Groysman informed.

He has also informed about the Government's decision of 23 October to allocate UAH 10.5 million Donetsk regional state administration at the expense of the reserve fund of the state budget.

"These funds will be directed to implement emergency activities related to the restoration of housing in the territory of the Sloviansk city council (Donetsk region), destroyed or damaged during the anti-terrorist operation", the Vice Prime Minister added.
