V. Groysman believes involving residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions into recovery of Donbas to ensure consolidation of all parties

The approach to the restoration of Donbas should be determined not only in terms of rebuilding damaged infrastructure, but also the assessment of the needs and expectations of society in the area, stated Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Regional Development, Construction Housing and Utilities Volodymyr Groysman at a meeting with the mission of representatives of the EU, the UN and the World Bank, which has begun its work in Ukraine so as to create a recovery plan for eastern territories as well as a model of financial support for the region.

"Our task is not to rebuild the post-Soviet infrastructure. We need to create conditions for development of the region, for the normal life of citizens, to ensure their social adaptation", Volodymyr Groysman noted.

He believes that it is necessary to ensure maximum inclusion of people living in the liberated and temporarily occupied territories into the recovery process of Donbas.

"We need to involve most of those who live there into the recovery process - it should ensure the success of the whole process of rebuilding, consolidate the efforts of all parties, and should be an important element of the implementation of the peace plan of the President of Ukraine", the Vice Prime Minister underlined.

The representatives of the mission have stressed that they intend not only to support the restoration of the areas affected by conflict, but also the regions that assumed the responsibility for the needs of internally displaced persons.

The mission of representatives of the EU, the UN and the World Bank are to work in Ukraine by the end of this week.
