Ukraine creates an ad hoc commission to investigate the financing of separatism
Ukrainian
PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk has ordered to set up an ad hoc
commission to investigate the involvement of MPs and other officials, as well as individuals and companies in financing terrorism and separatism, he stated at a meeting
the Government on Wednesday, July 23.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk has reminded that the Law of Ukraine on Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine (responsibility for
financing separatism) took effect.
The
Prime Minister addressed the
Ministry of Internal Affairs
of Ukraine together with the Security
Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General to create an ad hoc commission to investigate the involvement of MPs and other officials, individuals and companies in financing terrorism and separatism."
"A
special commission should immediately
start work in order to
bring to criminal liability everyone who pays money so as to kill Ukrainian servicemen and destroy the Ukrainian independence, everyone working against Ukraine. Everyone should be prosecuted under the law," emphasized Arseniy
Yatsenyuk.
"We’ve got all legal instruments," he stressed.
The
Prime Minister instructed the Minister of
Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov under the law to lead this commission.
