PM met with Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida

Yatsenyuk met with Japanese Foreign
Minister Fumio Kishida, who is on a visit in Kyiv.
The
Prime Minister expressed his
appreciation to the Government of Japan of its firm support for the sovereignty
and territorial integrity
of Ukraine, inadmissibility of a breach of fundamental principles of international law.
Fumio Kishida announced that Japan made the decision to expand assistance projects for Ukraine aimed
at economic recovery, strengthening democratic institutions as well as national unity. The parties have signed an intergovernmental loan agreement aimed at development policy, economic reforms. This will allow the Government of Ukraine to attract
additional funds in the amount of U.S. $ 100 million.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk underlined the high interest of the Ukrainian side to attract Japanese investment into Ukraine. The Prime Minister welcomed the decision taken by Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe to send to Ukraine an economic high-level delegation headed by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry in August.
