State Special Transport Service found and defused more than 20 mines and hazardous objects near Sloviansk

Sappers of the State Special Transport Service continue to clear of mines the area near Sloviansk. Among destroyed buildings, mutilated roads, bridges and railways there are many items that could explode at any moment. So before rebuilding the city's infrastructure, the State Special Transport Service on behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure is looking for and liquidating explosives.

For a few days sappers have tested dozens of kilometers of railway sections and facilities, including railway stations, bridges, overpasses, pipes, viaducts and road as well as pedestrian and vehicle engineering structures.

The military has found and defused more than 20 mine-dangerous items such as: anti-personnel, anti-tank and mortar bombs, unguided aircraft rockets, grenades from the grenade launcher and electric detonators. Moreover, they have discovered 4 kilograms of ammonite.
