First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine met with a Spanish delegation of Senators

14, First Deputy
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Natalia Galibarenko met with a delegation of Senators of the Spanish Parliament headed by President
of
the Judiciary Committee of the Senate of
the Kingdom of Spain
Joaquin Ramirez.
During
the meeting, the Spanish delegation was informed of the aggravation of the security
situation in the east
of Ukraine due to the increase of the cases of illegal crossing of the Ukrainian-Russian border by military hardware as well as mercenaries.
The
Ukrainian side has also paid particular attention to the tasks of the Government as to rebuild destroyed infrastructure in the Donbas as well as social support for citizens forced to leave their homes. It was informed about the efforts being made by the Foreign Ministry in order to release N.Savchenko and O.Sentsov who were illegally transferred to the Russian Federation.
Special
attention was paid to the current constitutional
reform, an important
component of
which is the empowerment of regions.
The
sides also exchanged views on possible outcomes of discussions as to the "Ukrainian issue"
at a European Council meeting on July 16 this year.
In
its turn, the Spanish side pledged to support the efforts
undertaken by the Ukrainian Government in implementing reforms and expressed readiness to assist in reforming the legal system and to share its experience in the field of
constitutional reform.
