Crisis energy staff works on promoting reduction and substitution of natural gas

The crisis energy staff has developed a comprehensive plan of measures as for providing incentives to reduce consumption and substitution of natural gas by heat supply enterprises, industrial users, budgetary institutions, organizations and the population. A respective document has been discussed at a meeting of the crisis energy staff on 7 July under the chairmanship of Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Volodymyr Hroisman. According to him, the project of the above-mentioned plan includes both technical measures for replacement of natural gas consumption with alternative types of fuel as well as activities relating to the development of necessary legislation aimed at reducing consumption and replacement of gas. In the near future, this document will be submitted to the Government for consideration.

Volodymyr Hroisman also reported that the Ministry of Regional Development has developed a draft decree "On promoting the substitution of natural gas in heat supply". He stressed that the ultimate goal of the draft document - the state support for domestic producers, creation of new jobs and development of the domestic economy.
